Cheap.

The more appropriate word I suppose would be 'Bargain' but I love the word cheap, because I am CHEAP. I just picked up these Jeffrey Campbell wedges from Nordstrom Rack for $49-. They retail for $138-, although now sold out most places from what I can tell. I needed a pair of platforms for Palm Springs that were A. Comfortable B. Neutral C. CHEAP. I was originally looking at a leopard pair (yes, leopard is neutral in my book) but spending $185- sounded like having teeth pulled. Sure I have forked over $900- for a pair of shoes, but only on a shoe I covet & are difficult to obtain. While this shoe isn't a top pick for me, once I put them on, saw how tall they made me (added 5 inches!) & how COMFORTABLE they were, I was sold. Even for $49- (still steep in my cheap book.) They even have a bit of elastic at the buckle allowing me to just slip them off rather than unbuckling. Which will be a dream once going through security at the airport.
