A Place to Dream.
The little ladies bedroom is the room I most look forward to decorating. When I was just a tween I had one bedroom wall completely covered from floor to ceiling w/pages I tore out of Vogue. The room should be inspirational. I loved these three rooms for their achievable nature. The little suitcases in the bottom photo are from a craft store & just painted. The rug in the middle photo is from Target & adds great whimsy & colour. And the glittery letters in the top photo add such a sweet touch. Not to mention that is my family name although spelled the French way (mine Hungarian). I cannot wait to get started.
Urine Walls.
I got the stab in my heart when the landlord of our new house told us we couldn't paint. Usually I would break this rule but given that it is very hard to paint a bay window w/o anyone noticing I have to suffer with the already yellow walls. I like yellow in small doses; a pair of shoes, a small purse, nothing huge. Nor anything I have to look at on a daily basis. How do I even begin to design a home around yellow? And it seems most photos I see people w/yellow walls also have yellow curtains? Why? Does this mean I have to have yellow curtains? Crying on the inside. And outside. Really. I am.

Rocking.
I have this exact style of rocking chair but not crazy about the material on mine. It would be an easy piece to replace & I think bright might be the way to go. Preferably with a funky pattern. Or maybe in black & white stripes like the Celine jammie outfit?

Clean.
Just scored this amazing set of vintage Fieldcrest towels from the thrift. A COMPLETE set. Two bath, two hand, two wash. Pretty hyped about it. I plan on stowing them away until we move & they have a proper washroom to shine all their bright orange & purple glory in. I'm excited that I have a main component to design around.
Slippers.
To go along w/the jammie trend. Loving all the variations out there. Wishing I would have bought a similar pair I saw a couple years ago that were pink velvet w/poodles embroidered all over. Another treasure lost.

More.
The final (I use that term lightly) product of the little ladies summer wardrobe. We did the big unveil to her a couple of days ago. I've never seen her so excited. She was bouncing up & down & all around. I cannot wait to put together outfits for her.
Today I began cleaning out her closet & drawers to rid her of her winter clothing that she has grown out of. I had no idea she would put on 9 pounds in 6 months time so she grew out of stuff pretty quickly. Good thing I bought her a whole new wardrobe. (That's how I reason things.)
Read.
My airplane & poolside reading material. I could have borrowed the Stieg Larsson novel from my mom but decided I wanted to own the book(s) for myself. When the little lady of the house is of age I hope they are something that she herself would be interested in. Should I make it a goal to finish the trilogy by end of summer?

Quilt.
I am always lusting after the idea of 'perfect bedding'. We have an old quilt on our bed now that the boyfriend had while in the Navy. I'd like for the little lady to have a quilt for her room one day as well. When I was young I was raised to appreciate antiques & vintage items. My gramma & mom would go thrifting on a constant daily basis. Back then thrifting was considered to be for people who were 'poor'. My family owned our own restaurant & shipping business, 'poor' we were not (Oh how the tides have changed!). It was all about hunting for treasures. I hope that one day the little lady of our house is able to treasure used items the way I was taught. And if I find the perfect old quilt for her I hope it is something she will appreciate for a lifetime.

Sale on Sale.
My fancy Droid photo kills are slobber worthy. NOT.
I have one serious rule of thumb when shopping for clothes for the little lady of my house. SALE. I do not pay full price for anything unless it is under $10- already. And that is a rare occasion I will even do that. So rare there are only 3 items I paid full price for in these photos & in total together they cost me less than $20-. When a child grows out of clothes in only 6 months spending a lot of money IS pointless.
I have been shopping for the little ladies summer wardrobe since before New Years. Collecting over the last 5 months so as to not spend a lot of dough all at once. Momma is a waitress, I ain't rollin' in the cash if you know what I mean. WORD?
On the roster:
-7 Tunics
-3 Dresses
-4 Skirts
-11 Tees
-10 Shorts
-9 Tanks
-2 Halters
-5 1/4 Length Sleeve Tops (For chillier nights)
-5 Leggings
-2 Belts
-1 Hoodie
AND 1 Awesome Leopard Print Denim Vest. Yes.
I shopped the Memorial Day Sale @ Old Navy today & all sale items were an additional 50% off. I kept the employees busy checking prices for me. I'm sure they hate me, but saving over 50% in one shopping trip is worth the hate.

More Marant.
In my head I pair these w/everything in my closet. From my biking shorts to my floor length white beaded jacket I've never worn to my sweats pants & Chanel sweater. So obviously I would get use out of them & make them worth their price that exceeds my budget by about $1,000-. What's a life without dreams, kids?
