Vincent.

If I could take this Cynthia Vincent boutique & make it my living room, let me tell ya, I WOULD. Clothes, fur, gold, & THAT damn Moroccan wedding blanket that I am still waiting for someone to buy me. No someone in particular, so feel free to grab the opportunity folks.

Beastly. Not the Movie.

Pay no attention to the fury monstrosity of a jacket pictured here as I have no intention of scouting out such a piece. But rather refocus your eyes to the pictures behind the beast (hard to do I KNOW). Ripped out Chloe adds from a magazine. GENIUS. I did this look a couple years ago when I couldn't afford art because I spent my paycheck on PBR yet mine didn't look as good as this. The simple frames is what makes these images work as well as being paired w/other pieces of art. I'm down to give this look another go.

Textiles.

I think the textiles in this room are so beautiful in combination & would work well in an adults bedroom or a tween bedroom. I hope to achieve this look in both the bedrooms of my house when we move. A room that feels inspirational to the little lady is most important.

Pouf.

This Calypso for St. Barth silver pouf is sold out online (go figure as it's only $60- & people on interior decor blogs eat these thing up like babies...I mean candy) but my local Target has them. The boyfriend wants an ottoman to rest his metal feet upon & I think wherever we eventually move I can make this work w/however I plan to decorate. Shit, it's $60-, & shiny, why the hell not?

Zit.

I love sale anything & sale everything. I've been craving a new leather jacket w/o a hood (as mine does.) If I can't get my hands on the spotted 3.1 Phillip Lim amazingness then something like this would fill in just fine. I like the element of texture & colour. If I come up w/an extra $700- out of thin air it'll be mine.

Domino & Decorate.

I had an hour of time I needed to kill today so I sat at Barnes & Noble perusing the pages of 'Domino' & 'Decorate'. Clearly I need to make a minimum of $70- tomorrow so I can own these two books. I'm sad I didn't get into interior decor mags as early as I did fashion mags because the one issue I have of Domino makes me drool for more. Hopefully I'll own these in a couple of days so I can catch up w/the rest of the interior decor lovers out there.

I need a Morrocan Wedding Blanket. I also need to come up w/a few hundred dollars because these puppies don't come cheap. NEED.

Mom.

This year I found out what it is to be a mom. And I didn't even have to give birth.

Happy Mothers Day to mother figures everywhere.

Krizia.

Between the likes of the Olsen duo to Miss Sea of Shoes the Krizia sweater is my new coveted item. I'm just adding it to my list of life long missions. I'll get started on that after I take a nap.

Beads.

My jewelry collection for the most part consists of metals only. I've never been one big for beads. However looking at Isabel Marants jewelry has me really thinking differently. I love the length of the necklaces & really love the chiffon decoration. This could be a fun summer project.

Orange & Navy.

Orange is by far my favorite ACTUAL colour. I have a orange velvet tuffted sofa in storage as well as an orange flokati rug that my Grandmother brought over from Turkey. The combination w/navy makes a powerful impact that I have always adored.

Boyfriend, how do you feel about orange walls? It's not X-Box green but it's loud & in your face, no?

Saving Face.

Primer. Not just for walls. I've never been one who thought I needed primer, I was very wrong. This makes my foundation go on silky smooth & you don't need to wear powder (which I haven't in years). I recommend primer from whoever your preferred makeup master is. No thanks needed.

Dame.

Dear Baby Jesus-Judas-Robin Williams as the Genie in Aladdin,

You see this woman? DO YOU? Good. Because she looks better at her silver age than I do at 25. And that's not fair on any level. So if I can't look as good as her now, please allow me the small favor of being half as hot as she after I've already gone through the hell that is menopause. Thanks mucho. GOD BLESS LEOPARD.

Signed,

Me

And These.

No these lovely ankles do not belong to me nor do the shoes upon the feet, however I did purchase these Sam Edelman booties today. Mine are in pony hair w/a giraffe style print. I scored them for a lovely $36- at Nordstrom Rack. I've been needing a dressier boot that is easy on my ankle. Shorts, skirts, leggings, sweats, I will wear them w/EVERYTHING. And that's a nice thought, isn't it kids?

I think you can find them in a rainbow of colours @ Endless.com*

Cheap.

The more appropriate word I suppose would be 'Bargain' but I love the word cheap, because I am CHEAP. I just picked up these Jeffrey Campbell wedges from Nordstrom Rack for $49-. They retail for $138-, although now sold out most places from what I can tell. I needed a pair of platforms for Palm Springs that were A. Comfortable B. Neutral C. CHEAP. I was originally looking at a leopard pair (yes, leopard is neutral in my book) but spending $185- sounded like having teeth pulled. Sure I have forked over $900- for a pair of shoes, but only on a shoe I covet & are difficult to obtain. While this shoe isn't a top pick for me, once I put them on, saw how tall they made me (added 5 inches!) & how COMFORTABLE they were, I was sold. Even for $49- (still steep in my cheap book.) They even have a bit of elastic at the buckle allowing me to just slip them off rather than unbuckling. Which will be a dream once going through security at the airport.

Double Duty.

I'm not a fan of multiple pieces of block(y) furniture pushed against walls. I enjoy clutter but I do not enjoy crowded. Having a nightstand double as a vanity is a perfect way to solve such an issue. While this room is not my particular taste I appreciate it's direction.

Rain or Shine.

Taylor.

I carried around about 13 different sleeveless tops while at the thrift trying to find tops for Palm Springs & came home emptied handed (well, in the tank department that is). Summer clothes & I do not have an understanding for each other. For Judas sake it's still snowing in Washington. Being w/family...scratch that...the boyfriends family, not to mention w/the child I need to be more conservative unlike if I was in Vegas w/the boyfriend whoring it up. Taylor is amazing at looking conservative, sexy, relaxed, & so stylishly eclectic that it gives me hope I can figure it out for myself. These are some of my favorites she has donned during sunny days, & I already own the Balenciagas. Packing is going to be a BITCH.

Fisherman Sweater.

There is a vintage Irish wool fisherman sweater at the thrift that I have been passing up & can't stop thinking about. To find a sweater in such a small size is a miracle. Must.Go.Buy.NOW.

Fleshpot.

I've been in hiding regarding this topic for quite sometime now & I am coming out of the closet. I LOVE THIS COLOUR. Mauve would be the generic colour name for it, a reader of Design Crisis referred to it as 'Velvet Teddy' which is a lipstick colour from MAC. I thought what a genus way to get a sexy name for the colour so I looked at the MAC website myself & decided it was not 'Velvet Teddy' but rather 'Fleshpot'. Which is described as a PALE MUTED PINKY-BEIGE. Ummm, Hello? Jackpot? Sure the name sounds like a really yucky skin disorder but in your head if you think of 'Fembots' when you are saying it it really becomes much more sexy. I LOVE THIS COLOUR. Look how perfectly is lets bright colours just shine like the Broadway stars they dream to be. And on the Miu Miu sexy spectator pumps...Hello hot pink AND neon orange??? Get out of town. This is the colour my future living room will be. It's happening. No stopping me boyfriend. NO STOPPING ME.

I love knick knacks & showing off pieces that are dear to me. My vintage Marilyn prints & Miu Miu kitty clogs would look beautiful displayed in such a manner.

Pink.

I might be off my rocker. When I lay in bed at night & dream about how I want my new living room to look (so sexy right?) I envision the living room in the house I grew up in as my blank canvas. Only because it's an older house so it helps me to create a vision. Searching for colours for the home & thinking of paint is making me bonkers. And then for some GOD AWFUL reason I began to think Pink. Pink walls or pink accents. Are my vitamins laced w/crack? Is my teapot filled w/vodka? What am I thinking? Will the boyfriend kill me? Will I overdose on Pepto Bismol? These are my questions.

Mint.

The other day I was at my favorite thrift spot browsing the skirt isle. I came upon a knee-length-mint-green-pleated-chiffon-skirt. Originally from Banana Republic they priced it in their 'Designer' section raising the price to $10. For it being chiffon I was surprised there wasn't any snags & it actually looks as if it had never been worn. I didn't feel good about spending $10 on a skirt, but it is hard to pass up anything in the colour of a yummy mint green. Seeing a photo like this helps me know I was right in biting the bullet & purchasing it. I don't know yet how I will incorporate it into my summer wardrobe, but already have a fantastic fall outfit planned for it.

Sky & Sea.

The boyfriend loves colour. I myself have never been a fan of colour on the walls but am finding myself more & more drawn to the aqua shades. I don't think I could paint a whole room in the shade, but maybe an 'accent' wall will work? Yet I generally hate 'accent' walls? Shit, this is already turning into an argument w/myself.
